Momax manufactures a “Chainless Bike”, which features considerable improvements over existing bikes with chain transmissions, in particular damage and dirtying of clothes from oil. Adopting shaft drive technology applied to automobiles, i.e. spiral gears, the Chainless Bike is quieter, more efficient, and features a multiplier transmission. An electric-powered, chainless bike now under development is expected to hit the market in the near future.
